What should I look for in my wedding photographer?
If I were getting married today, the decision would depend on two things. First, do I feel a connection with this photographers work? These photos will be with me for a lifetime and I want them to represent the day and the people who shared that day with us. I want to FEEL the emotion that was felt that day every time that I see the photos. Second, how well do I get along with my photographer? On your wedding day your photographer is present for a significant portion of it so it makes so much difference when the personalities mesh well. I am easy to get along with so no worries!
How would you describe your 'Style'?
The majority of the day is captured in a 'documentary' style. This means that it isn't posed or staged but organic and natural and the authentic you as the moments unfold. However, I also believe in the Family photos and the Bride & Groom session where the posed and semi-posed photos are often requested. The Bride & Groom session is a semi-candid and semi-posed session that is laid back and fun. The Family photos are the traditional and posed shots.
How to reserve your wedding date?
In order to reserve your date a signed contract and retainer are required. Final payment of the balance is due 14 days prior to the wedding day.
How can we hold our date if someone else is interested?
If there is another couple interested in your date, I will be sure to let you know. Dates are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis to be as fair as possible.
How far in advance should I book my wedding?
There are certainly dates and times of year that are more popular than others. Some have booked their dates 2 years in advance while some have booked just 2 months prior to the wedding day. Most often I notice bookings between 9-14 months in advance.
Do you use a second photographer at weddings?
A second photographer is a part of all of my packages.
Are there any travel fees?
I am located in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. Travel over 60 miles from my location will incur mileage, travel and lodging fees if applicable. Destination weddings are absolutely welcome from the Jersey shore to Bora Bora. You pic the beautiful location and I will get you the beautiful photos to remember it forever!
Do you offer engagement sessions?
I offer engagement sessions and I strongly recommend them too. This is an opportunity to give you great photos while having a great time. It is also a great time to get comfortable in front of my camera and with me. It also allows me to get to know who you are as a couple which is very helpful to take with me to the wedding day.
Do you offer wedding albums?
Yes, I offer top quality albums. From the craftsmanship to the materials, these are simply the finest albums that you can hope for. Having one of my sample albums in your hand will leave no doubt that quality matters and will stand the test of time. Albums generally take up to twelve weeks for completion once the design has been finalized.
How does the album design process work?
To make this process as easy as possible for my clients, I will present to you a pre-designed album prior to the delivery of your photos. We then schedule a meeting to finalize the design and album options. Your input is encouraged and welcome.
When will our photos be delivered?
Your photos will be delivered to you in your private online gallery within 6-8 weeks from your wedding day. You will be able to download your photos directly from your private online gallery. Custom flash drives are also available.
Do you have back-up equipment?
Always! The equipment that I have invested in is amazing and I can not recall a single instance where it did not function precisely as it should. However, I always have back-ups on hand just in case.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I have always been a Canon devotee. I love them for the user experience (the physical use of the equipment). I never want to have to overcome my equipment. Canon cameras are very smartly designed to provide easy operation. The sensors also render skin tones so beautifully. They produce a warmth and vibrance that I have not experienced with any other manufacturer. Each camera and lens that I have ever owned has each been a work of art in itself. The construction and performance has always been stellar.
I currently use two 5D Mark IV 's as my main bodies and have a 5D Mark III ready as a back up should it be necessary. My lenses are the EF 35 1.4LII, EF 85 1.4L IS USM, EF 135 f2 USM, TS-E 45mm Tilt Shift, EF 16-35 2.8LII, EF 100 2.8L Macro, and EF 50 1.2L.
I also have several flashes for use in a variety of situations to bring you the very best images for your wedding day.
